SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
CURRENT FOR 2010 SCHOLARSHIPS
The National Association of Purchasing Management–Maryland (NAPM-MD, Inc.) Affiliate of the Institute of Supply Management is a professional organization for those in the Supply Chain Management disciplines. This organization promotes and provides educational training along with networking opportunities for those working in the Supply Chain Management fields.
NAPM-MD, Inc., is interested in assisting individuals either already in these fields or pursuing education in these fields. In conjunction with this is NAPM-MD, Inc.’s desire to make available to individuals in the greater Maryland area, who meet our criteria, scholarship awards to be applied toward their educational studies.
The following are the requirements to be considered for a scholarship:
1. Applicants must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate Degree in a Supply Chain Management or other related field.
2. Evidence of career related activities should be present; an example is a job or an internship in supply chain management.
3. Courses can be related to the pursuit of the Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M.) professional certification.
4. Members of NAPM-MD, Inc., will be given preference over non-NAPM-MD, Inc., members. Immediate family members of NAPM-MD, Inc., are also encouraged to apply.
5. Financial needs may also be considered.
If you meet the above criteria, we urge you to apply. If you are not selected this year you may apply again next year assuming you still meet the criteria.
